Seriously though, I made a whole 2.29 my first month and all I did was sit on my ....! Not too bad for zero hard work!
My question is this - I'm getting about 5k hits/day traffic to my site but my signups that
actually go through smartstart are few. Is anyone else seeing this on their sites?
I'm still very new to this (signed up like 30 days ago!) so I'm not the best, but
I've got an established site that I'm advertising on and it's bringing signups...
Oh, and I'd like to mention - My upline blows. No emails from my PTL or my Sponsor. Ever. No replies.
Wonder if they're on vacation? :)

Anyway, I'm ready to take off if I can get a foothold. I feel it!

The same thing happen to me the first time I joined SFI, I heard from my sponsor once. He was no help I would email him but he would not respond. Hopefully going forward you will have better luck.

I'd just like to say I'm on track to make over 100.00 this month and I just started marketing HARD yesterday.

You know, I'm not sure if I believed in SFI up to this point.
It was just another affiliate program to promote on my site.
I almost thought it was just some scam to get "suckers" to pay

What changed my mind was getting the little, teensy miniscule
2.29 in the mail. I thought, Hey they owe me just 2 bux and they're
actually sending it? No way!
It started a train of thought...If I get 2 bucks with just this many
affiliates falling in my lap...how much can I make if I bust arse for
six months or a year and really drive the program?

gotthetraffic, no one is making fun of you and your $2 check. They are happy that you got it and see the big picture here with SFI. The posters here like to see others succeed (even if it starts with a small amount).

We all had to start somewhere.

Congrats on making your 3 figure check this month and your 1 figure last month.

I hope now that you see the potential in yourself and with SFI that you will stay around for the long haul. As you know there when there's a will there's a way, you can do what ever it takes to get to where you want to go with this business you have started.

I'm just pleased as punch with SFI and like I said I've talked to
all kinds in the business over the last few days.
I met a PL just today that has sat on his
butt and done NOTHING to help his team and with over 2000
in his downline he's just now opening his eyes to what he could
have if he just wrote them an encouraging note from time to time.
I told him that a downline is kind of like your adult kids. All they
really need is a little encouragement from time to time and they'll
take off like wildfire if they're serious.

About my big two dollar check it was all about the smart start and
getting MIQ.
Man, All I did was order a magazine for my daughter and wham! I'm
a BMOC EA guy!
That got me the faststart bonus and made me a check.
Since I got that little check I got my butt in gear and started driving
traffic to my /FREE page <http://www.ezinfocenter.com/yourID/FREE>
I bought m'self an IAHBE membership and I'm reading these boards.
Then I bought into the Eagle thing and...well....I shoulda read the boards more :)
Oh well, maybe those 4 shares will turn out 1 PL over the next 6 months. If they do, I'm happy.
Anyway, I jumped from EA to PL in 30 days and I intend to keep that PL
status if it hare-lips the governer (texas saying).
Gonna try some of that nutrition stuff too. It's gotta beat my wal-mart
brand vitamins.

Anyway, long story short - If you want to make money, you gotta work the program. If you dont know how, read the boards, do the trainings, and get that IAHBE membership.
There's so many ways to win here, anyone should be able to do it!

Doing about 10k hits on my sites daily.. same results as you. I've found alternative methods though that have picked up some affiliates. Smart Start is a double edged sword. Sometimes it overwhelms them and they don't complete, sometimes it motivates them to MIQ.

I think its all about the demigraphics of your traffic. eg. My traffic is basically sweepstakes and lottery enthusiasts.. most of which are housewives and retired people. Not bad. ;)

I have emailed my PL and my sponsor is the same and have had no response. It really doesn't make me feel to good about this. I just started about a week ago and have tried a few times to email and no response.

OK,Sassysalsa....there is one thing you must remember....We are your ultimate Support Group....not just one person or two....

whatever you need to know?...if you have not read it for yourself or has read it and is still confused about it?....We are here for you....

Stay positive...don't allow yourself to get down because one person hasn't responded to you for whatever reason....so what?.....

I guarantee you ...you will always have more than enough help and support here from others that will get you on the right track so that you can help yourself...continue building your business....through the support and the training right here at this board....

Unfortunately, some people just dont make good leaders, but that is their loss not yours. Best anyone can do is research, get support from other members, then when you are organised, provide your knowledge to your downline.

How does one get a check the same month they join? I joined the last of june or the 1st of july. I made miq by the 10th, will I get $ ? I thought I banked it for when I am PTL. It doesn't matter to me. I am in this for the long haul. I have not had many hours to put in but I am not discouraged with SFI just a little with me. But I will get it together soon. I signed on to Eagle co op today so that is another step.

I would be excited too about a check for 2.29 it would help to reinforce the program.

I know this will work and I am still excited about it.

While I can't speak for GotTheTraffic, it sounds that he, like Spyderbyte, is already running a successful high traffic website, and has just added his SFI biz and gateways to what he is already doing.

The name "Got The Traffic" would suggest somebody already an expert in traffic building, perhaps a TE user. He may have only just joined SFI, but is already an expert in Internet Marketing.

Also some may have only just joined the dboard, but has been with the company a while.

I was reading the dBoard for a while, since I joined, and only signed up to it so I could make a post, and didn't start making "advice" posts until I had something to offer.

Well as mentioned post here for help when needed. We all are learning and helping each other. I have two affiliate in two days wow I'm on a roll. Looks like the adword thing does really work.

One thing that help me I was reading a post here on Monday which brought me to the top 100 page, so I decided to read some of the answer they have on the q & a for the top members there. This was very inspiring and a eye opener. As a result of that I have changes how I am marketing my business.

You have to find what works best for you, and run with it. good luck.
