Arrow Retailing SFI's Products and Services - Learn To Earn

Retail Sales - One of SFI's most lucrative income streams.

The information in this thread is essential reading for any SFI affiliate who needs help telling people about SFI's products and those who want to sell directly to the public. And since you can set your own prices (if you're an Executive Affiliate or Team Leader eligible to wholesale the products), this information can be extremely valuable to you!

SFI pays 80% of the Commission Volume (CV) to Team Leaders who sell SFI's products and services direct to people not (yet) in SFI or who create sales by referring customers to money-saving Nice Offers coupons.
80% CV is a great reason to become a Team Leader as soon as you can!

Executive Affiliates earn 60% CV.
Even 60% CV is a very good reason to become and remain an Executive Affiliate (lots and lots of other great reasons, too)!!

Non-EAs get 30%.
Nice, and generous of SFI, but certainly not what could be for YOU!!!

If you're not EA yet, you'll not want to remain a mere Affiliate very long, because you'll be losing out on all the excellent benefits and earnings that Executive Affiliates and Team Leaders enjoy. All you can do to earn a commission is to sell retail, and then you get only a very small portion of the CV when upgrading would likely net you much more.

If you plan at all to make direct sales for SFI, or use NOC, or if you're already doing either or both, then why not upgrade at least to EA so that you maximize your income?

And why not teach your sponsored affiliates to make direct sales or give away Nice Offers coupons so they will upgrade to EA? You could have a growing team in no time earning you, and them, lucrative matching bonuses in addition to your sales income!

Think about it!

==================================================

And having started this thread, I'd like to ask those of you reading it, if you are into retailing, perhaps as a service both to SFI and to other affiliates who would sell for SFI if they knew how, if you would care to teach publicly, here on the DBoard, how it is you do it.

I'm not asking you to give away your secrets, if you have them, and I'm not asking you to share anything you'd rather keep to yourself, but if you could give some hints, or tell why you sell, how you sell, where you sell, what you sell, and to whom, it very likely will encourage other affiliates to do more for SFI. And that will benefit us all.

I'll handle the "when to sell" part. That's easy! When? Every day, or as often as you can... every night to, if that's your thing.

So, please, consider my request, and post in this thread. Thanks in advance (TIA)! :Super:

==================================================

I'm not much of a salesman. I know how it feels not to be able to sell.
And I'm pretty sure there are lots of affiliates who feel the same way.

If we can be helped to sell (and I think we can and hope we can), and if you can help and will, then you'll be doing a great service for us, for SFI, and for yourself too. By giving selflessly you will get much more in return. I can attest to that!

Thanks also to Top Seller MKile1 and frequent contributor kenjurni for placing the thoughts in my feeble mind that somehow generated this post! Can't tell you how much I appreciate your contributions. Simply though, I do! Sharing is caring!

Read Gery's recommendations again and again.

Advertise your favorite product/service (try it yourself so you can see how valuable it is to you - which will make you a better salesperson). Get a satisfied customer. Thumbs up Thanks Bralland, for giving us an opening...

I came to SFI looking for natural cleaning products online. I became an affiliate after I became a customer. Retailing the products come natural to me as I knew I couldn't be the only one searching on the internet for natural cleaners. I would be happy to share more & I will be preparing a series of mini post's for this thread soon... :spin:

Meanwhile, just think about this...
If you could gain 5 new customers each month...
They are repeat buyers because they like the products...
They are consumable products so they need more each month...
In six months, how much more do you think you would be earning in commissions?
Now, if you teach your group to do the same. How much more will your and their executive bonus, executive match and team match be then???

More to come...

~Michelle

PS. I look forward to more competition on the "Top Sellers List" this year!

Thumbs up A Little Story About Retailing...

Last month, I sponsored hundreds of affiliates…both personally and into my group. I want to share a story about 2 affiliates in particular, as they directly relate to retailing the products.

Similar to how I joined SFI in 2004…two of those affiliates were sponsored, not from my Business Opportunity Ads, but from my Retailing Ads! Both of those affiliates became EA’s because they were looking for products online and I’m sure in the back of their minds… they also wanted to work from home and create extra income for themselves and their family. I was the one lucky enough to have taken the marketing information from the SFI Affiliate Center Marketing Aids Section and put it into action! :Bouncers:

Both of these affiliates have a story. I will refer to them as affiliate 1 and affiliate 2 for privacy reasons…

Both Affiliate 1&2 – signed up with SFI… and within 3 days became EA purchasing products. Naturally, I sent over my regular “Welcome Email” the day they signed up, and “Congratulations Email” to them for becoming EA’s along with a few suggestions on how to earn income with SFI (based on their affiliate profile). I also included information about taking advantage of my Co-op advertising.

Affiliate 1 – was not looking at using the internet to build the business but wanted suggestions on how to promote the products locally. She purchased a sample pack of the natural cleaners along with other products to become EA and is setting up home parties to show others (friends, family, and people she knows) how well the products work, to make sales. She has made business cards with both her retail gateway and business op gateway and will hand them out to everyone she comes in contact with. This method may take a little longer to implement and show ROI but is sure to work! I know these products, and they work! So will a home party, if you have the time and drive to put it together!

Before I knew it Affiliate 2 was sending out the SFI E-Cards to everyone she knew and making sales her very first week! She had joined on the 14th of the month, and by the end of the 1st month she had almost 30SVP! This month already she has over 40SVP and it is only mid-month! I can’t wait to see where she is by end of month…She will be challenging my ability to stay in the top 10 of the “Top Sellers List”! I am sure of that.

Affiliate 2 – also took advantage of my Co-op advertising. I offered a match for match Co-op deal. (This is not a secret, as it was taken straight from the DBoard and Thanks to Gery Carson… I said “wow” this is a great idea!) She purchased a slot in my Co-op and I matched each affiliate she received with the re-assignment tool. Guess what, she had her first EA before the end of the very first 2 weeks she was in the business! Talk about getting excited! By the way, her new EA is already sponsoring her own affiliates and has re-qualified for EA again this month!

As you can see from these two examples…Retailing is a way to attract people that are already interested in the products as affiliates. You really don’t have to worry about “selling” them on upgrading to EA. It comes naturally, because they already want the products. All you have to do is concentrate on being a good sponsor and help them get started sharing information about the products and building the business…

Happy Retailing!

Building a Retail Plan…

I would like to pre face this article with this fact… All I have done with SFI has been learned by reading through the arsenal of tools that SFI freely gives to all of its affiliates. Sure, I have talked with my sponsor and upline periodically, but for the retail business plan I built and put into action, all of the information was taken from the Affiliate Website and the DBoard.

Thank you to all of the DBoard Members who are willing to share information with the rest of us! Thank you also, to Gery Carson and the SFI Team for your leadership and giving us all of the tools we need to earn an income! It is much appreciated.

Where do you start?

1.) Well, you have to know what is available first before you can build a plan. So you’re first step should be to look at the products that SFI has available to market. You can do this by going to the Affiliate Store and reading about the products. Find one or two product lines that interest you.

2.) Now its time to check out what kind of money is available to make by marketing the product lines you choose. You can do that by pulling up the SFI Commission Schedule . This is a list of all of the products SFI has available, the Commission Volume (CV) each product is worth, and the Sales Volume Points (SVP) each product is worth.

3.) Armed with this information, you now need to do some calculations and make some choices.

Remember this…

As an Affiliate (A) you will earn 30% of the CV for each product you sell.
As an Executive Affiliate (EA) you will double those earnings to 60% of the CV.
As a Team Leader (TL) you give yourself another raise to 80% of the CV.

Calculation Example:
Veriuni Sample Pack of Natural Cleaners
Retail Price: $52.45
CV: $13.36
SVP: 7.03
As an Affiliate I would earn $4.01 in commissions and 7.03 SVP by selling one of these sample packs.
As an Affiliate just starting out, my plan would be to sell a minimum of 2 of these sample packs in 1 month. That would qualify me for EA with 14.06 SVP and give myself a raise! I would then earn $8.02 x 2 = $16.04 in commissions. In addition to getting a raise on my retail commissions, I have now opened up other lucrative income streams. Check them out here: www.sfimg.com/ea
As a Team Leader I will Earn $10.69 commission and 7.03 SVP for each sample pack I sell.
So now you know what you will make, based on where you are in the Comp Plan. It’s time to set some goals and build a plan. How many of this product do you think you can sell in one month? Make a realistic goal but keep this in mind… if you set your goal a little high, many times you will try harder to reach it!

Write out your plan…

Ok, lets say I set my goal to sell 5 of these sample packs in 1 month. At my level that would bring in $53.45 in commissions and 35.15 SVP. It would also bring in 5 new customers to my business. If I can keep these customers happy with good customer service and follow up, and continue to add 5 more new customers each month…Where would I be in 6 months?

5x6=30 Customers (granted, there will be some attrition not shown in the example)
30x10.69 = $320.70 in commissions.

What’s the potential???

How many of these customers are going to stick with just a sample pack? Not many I assure you, some will buy quarts or gallons of their favorite products next time instead.

How many of these customers are going to join as an affiliate so they can get the products at a discount?

How many of these customers are going to tell their friends, family or people they know about the products and/or the business? Do you think you could build a business this way? You bet you can!

Now, bigger picture…

How many of your affiliates can you teach to do this same thing? To personally track, sell & follow up with thousands of customers by yourself just isn’t feasible, but if you teach this to your group of affiliates you can open up even bigger commissions to everyone! Each person on your team plays their part in contributing to the CV below you in the powerline.

Next post will focus on “The Cost to Acquire a Customer.” – What can you realistically afford?

Thumbs up To every SFI Affiliate - One more thing YOU should know about Michelle...

Michelle Kile has been with SFI since July 31, 2006 (just 6 short months)!

I don't want to embarrass her, but I'd like everyone to know that in that short period of time she has become the 1) Leader of a team of EAs, 2) is an continuing EA herself, 3) is a Top Seller, 4) is a Peak Performer, 5) is a member of the President's Club, and 6) is teaching not only her team to make money with SFI but also now 7) is teaching you here at the DBoard as well.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to pay attention to this lady! And really do I think YOU (and every other affiliate who reads this thread) should do so too!

Now I have a question. What's holdiing you back? I issue a challenge - one she has already stated herself. Be a better achiever than Michelle, if you can! :Super:

Thanks for all of the kind words Bralland, but I do have a confession to make... There is a lesson to be learned for all SFI affiliates here.

I actually joined SFI in October of 2004. I sat on my "bum" and didn't do anything until June of 2006! I came back to the site to order more of the natural cleaners and started looking at the comp plan. It looked interesting and so I decided to try and build a little extra income for myself and my family.

Can you just imagine where I would be now if I had started right away to build this business??? :headbang:

I signed up my first personally sponsored affiliate on June 30th of 2006. I think it shows 2006 on my posts because that is when I registered as a DBoard Member.

Can anyone guess the lesson here? You may sponsor many an affiliate that don't get started right away...But, if and when they do, you will still be their sponsor with SFI and they will still be a part of your team. Don't ever give up on yourself, SFI or any one of your affiliates! When the time is right for them, be there to help them.

~Michelle

PS. Thanks to Gery again... I was able to join the powerline and get my original position thanks to the new Comp Plan..

A question recently posed by a new affiliate... and some answers

Read this thread:
Is it worth putting money into this?!!!

My answer - Definitely! You bet it is! There's no gamble with SFI - and you don't have to spend a dime (or even a penny) to do it!

See the SFI Compensation Plan (Comp Plan)
at the SFIMG Affiliate Center - http://www.sfimg.com/.

“The Cost to Acquire a Customer.” – What can you realistically afford?

If you do not consciously decide ahead of time where you are going, you may very easily end up somewhere else.
- Laurence J. Peter

In the last post : "Building a retail Plan…"

A.) You should have looked at the product lines available to you through the SFI Affiliate Store.
B.) Then the Commissions Schedule to find out the most lucrative Product Line to earn money.
C.) Used the Calculation Example to figure out which Individual Products you want to market.
D.) Written out some goals and do the monthly calculations to figure out your base income potential. (keeping business growth in mind)

Hopefully everyone did their research and found that SFI is a “Real Business” with a “Real Income Potential”. Your next step in building this plan is all about YOU…

Now is the time to take a Personal Skills Inventory and do a Self Evaluation.

YOU are now the “Business Owner” and the “CEO of your own Company”. How exciting is that?
~You make all of the decisions and reap all of the rewards!
~You can give yourself a raise anytime you want.
~You don’t have to put in years as a subordinate or work your way to the top…you’re already there!
And best of all... you can set your own schedule and do this from home!

So what do Successful Leaders do… to become successful?

When a person sets out to become a successful business owner it is important to establish who you are and what success means to you…
~Remember, you are the only one you have to please…
~Know your strengths and your weaknesses…
~Only then, can you plan what you are going to try to do…

Ask yourself these questions… Only YOU have these answers.
(write them down)

1.)Are you in a position to fund your advertising to start?
If so… how much per month?
2.)What kind of a risk taker are you?
Or, in other words "What are you comfortable with?"
3.)What experience, if any, do you have in advertising/marketing?
After all, becoming an affiliate means you are the advertiser/marketer for someone else’s products.
4.)What knowledge have you gained through personal development?
It is necessary to realize that knowledge is not the same thing as skill. Skill comes after practicing the application of your knowledge.
5.)Are you an outgoing person who easily communicates with others?
Do you like to talk on the phone, in person or through email?
6.)What are you willing to do to advertise your business?
You won’t have a business until people know you are in business!
7.)How fast do you want your business to grow?
What are your goals?
8.)Are you willing to invest in yourself?
Where do you want to be in 6 months?

Once you know your strengths and weaknesses you can develop a workable plan that you are comfortable with. Keep in mind, you want to let your business own the cashflow for as long as you can. This means every dime you make when you are just starting out should be sunk right back into your business advertising and overhead. By doing this your business will grow faster and faster.

So… What is the Cost to Acquire a Customer?

Let’s take a working example here. I will use “affiliate 2” whom I used as an example in “A Little Story About Retailing”

“Affiliate 2” Became EA right away, and started sending out SFI E-Cards to everyone she knew. Free method for getting started. Most of her sales came from the health and wellness line which on the average generates SVP at 50% of CV. Her SVP ended up at almost 30 for the month. That means her CV was around $60.00. At EA level she must have made around $36.00 in commissions $60 x 60% = $36.00. Seeing how easy it was to sell the products just by telling people about them, she took a risk and made an investment into her business and bought an advertising slot in my co-op. She spent $50 and obtained a new EA. That new EA brought her around another $10 commissions as an Executive Match. She also probably earned around another $10 from an Executive Bonus. Did her risk pay off?

$36.00 Retail Commissions
$10.00 Executive Bonus
$10.00 Executive Match
$56.00
-50.00 Her risk investment
$ 6.00 profit

Yep, for her first 2 week endeavor she made $6.00 profit. You might say that’s not much for 2 weeks but, what did she really gain? She gained several new Customers (they only cost her some time, not money), a team of new Affiliates and 1 new EA (these cost her time and money). Her business grew in the first two weeks!

What Can You Realistically Afford? This totally depends on you and your efforts.

Well, let’s take a look at “Affiliate 2’s” efforts this month so far…

Right now her SVP is over 46 so that brings her CV to around $92. $92 x 60% = $55.20
$55.20 just from retail sales… so far this month! Remember, she isn’t paying for this advertising, but it does offset and/or help fund her recruiting advertising budget! This way she can continue to build a team of affiliates and teach them how to do the same thing. As the CV builds below her in the Powerline her EB & EM’s will increase too. Her new EA has already re – qualified for EA this month with a Standing Order, and is building a team of affiliates too.

So, I ask you this… Is it worth it to retail products? I think so! Selling products is what this business is all about. Someone has to sell products, otherwise how can we make money? What is a new customer worth to you?

Those affiliates who are just paying their dues to get a measley 10SVP each month are amazing me! How can you possibly build a lucrative business without offsetting your advertising budget with income? How can you teach your affiliates to market/sell products if you are not marketing/selling yourself?

Here is my challenge to everyone… My goal this month is 100SVP. As of today, I have 79.51SVP. Whoops, make that 86.54SVP. (I just sold another sample pack) Can any of you beat me? Will you try? If everyone is selling these products we will all be rich!

Happy Retailing! :spin:

Arrow "Putting Your Business Plan Into Action!" - Just how do you do it?

Now having said all that, please do keep in mind that you are not alone! All of us here at SFI are a T.E.A.M.! No matter where we are in the Powerline

Dwayne – A Plan To Use: http://www.sfidboard.com/showthread.php?t=50025
John – How to Frame Your Gateways: http://www.sfidboard.com/showthread.php?t=43888

There are many, many more...

You have to spend some time to find out what works for you. Take the time to: read, read, read, study, study, study… and ask questions. There are things that some business owners’ do that may improve your results, and of course the opposite is also true. It’s all about finding what is right for YOU. Only you know your strengths and weaknesses. And the only way you will know what is working for you is by tracking your results.

4.)Tracking - You absolutely must Track Your Results! And of course, SFI has given you a way to do that. Use the Keycode Tracking Tool for every ad you place. https://www.sfimg.com/Resources/KeyCodeTracking.sfi

It’s a good idea to make a list of your advertisements and where you have placed them along with the keycode you have assigned. This way you will know which ads are pulling in paying customers. I put mine in a spread sheet on Excel. This gives me an at a glance report to look at. You can also watch your traffic by keycode and gateway through the handy Hit Tracking Tool. https://www.sfimg.com/Resources/HitTracking.sfi

Always remember that no one wins every time and one option is always to run away and hide! When you track your results in online marketing… after the "Battle", win or lose you always do a review…Why did it work or why not? A lost battle is not a loss IF you learn how to win the next one. Win or lose, if you're going to win the next one, you can't allow your mind to get tied up mourning a defeat or celebrating a victory. The only way you are sure to fail, is if you give up.

Now, I’d like to make a request from all of you here at the DBoard...

If what I have written so far has helped even one person get their business started I will gladly continue posting information and answering your questions. Let me know what you think! Is there a need? If you have questions, I am surely glad to help, as this DBoard has been a tremendous help to me!

Best of Luck to you all!

I say keep going with what youre doing. This is one area that I think a lot of us could use a lot of help with.

Between you and (Eric) Brassell I think theres a lot of information that the two of you have shared from your own stand points that others have wanted to keep a secret if you will.

Then there are John Wilson and Nancy Casseur that have thrown in their own helpful info.

I know there are sales to be made on the internet as I have made a few myself but not enough to be in the positions that any of you are in to give the advice or techniques that you all have shared so far.

Congrats to all of you on a job well done and taking the time to share your knowledge with the rest of us.

I would like to sell on ebay

Hi!

I am a member since 2004 and until now I did not upgrade my account. But now I would like to have a focus on SFI. I would like to sell my products on ebay. I am from Philippines, and I also work as a freelancer on the known site.
I decided to outsource a project from other freelancers to sell my product on ebay because I know if I sell it on USA they can afford buy it. I told my vendor to post my products and add $3 on each item. Once, he had a buyer he will then go to my webgates using his (vendors credit card) credit card for paying it, enters the buyers info (shipping address, quantity etc). Do you think this can help me earn money? What do you think would be the problem if I continue outsource this project? I cannot do it by myself because I don't have my credit card, and also if I sell it on philippines they are not able to pay for it because of money exchange rate..if can be not affordable..

What can you advice to me? Thank you very much and take care!

I am looking forward hearing from you guys!

Complete Newby

Hi everyone. This is my 4th day as a EA, with SFI. I have several questions, that I can't seem to get direct answers to and overwhelmed with opportunities and suggestions to help me get off on a good start.

First, I must say I am embarrassed that I know little about creating my own website though there is one provided for free with SFI- but -it does not show any hits. I am not sure if I need to pay (Stone) -to build me a sucessful website (as my sponsor suggested in this case)-to take that concern off of me.

Second, I live in the "Boondocks" and it's hard for me to get out much- to actually advertise- or sell products, though I did buy the EyeEarn kit. I also do not have any one to refer to SFI, unless I soon see results stemming from advertising with EyeEarn and getting responses. I have looked to email anyone who may have hit my site already- though I have no activity on my account, it is at a "Stand Still". Am I missing something here -or not pulling down the proper location? Or, is it to soon for me to have any contacts, or be sending out emails, unless they are strictly a personal "Referral?"

It was suggested by my sponsor, (in this case)-to possiably buy my own leads, and he sent me a link- this link of leads assures me that I will be able to get some EAs under me. I know it is $50.00 per month -to get access to these leads- as well as, another $25.00 monthly to have Stone build me a website (host4profit & traffic swarm). Is is necessary for me to do both of these avenues just to see somekind of activity and be able to send some emails to those of interest?

As you can see, I am a little lost- though I have read, gone through different avenues- played with my Genealogy to see if I am missing something and it is blank.

To date, I still do not know what to do- and though I have directly taken the "same concerns" multiple times in emails- looking for some flat direct answers, I am directed to keep going back to "Smart Start" instead. I wish there was someone who could coach me- (Bump me in the head)-or I could actually talk to instead of being directed back to the same place that I am having trouble comprehending.

I have to say, I am impressed with SFI and excited to do whatever it takes to grow. I have worked from home almost 3 years now as an appointment setter and also a national recruiter for Re/max, but for some reason I am finding myself lost. Please, will someone actually help me with some direct advice, It's obvious I am missing something here.

I know it takes money to make money- and building my business will take time, and once I understand things better- I am not scared to invest- "Time or Money"

Thanks for any "Solid Advice".and directness on why I am not able to get any emails- nor have no activity thus far.

Big question- if I don't have access to really refer people and don't have activity on my website with SFI- no emails to send, where should I be looking?? Was my sponsor's advice the best to take?

Welcome to SFI carolinalynn

Hello and welcome,

I personally don't purchase leads as I have little faith in whether they are real or bogus, and I'm not willing to spend money that I could use in better ways.

Having your own website is a good idea as it can make your business more unique looking than just having an affiliate page to promote, although I would suggest using the SFI gateways highly due to their extreme exposure from all our affiliate and therefore quite accepted and known.

(just redirect your SFI URL address to your unique website address - moderator]

There is a great list of informative articles on marketing and building this business, and I would definitely recommend everyone to read them.

"Learn More And Earn More" is a great saying that works.

Keep coming to the discussion board, daily if possible, and you'll get even more great advice from the members and Gery Carson too.

Thanks for being here.:D

Question Retail Store

Hi Everyone ... I am very new to this, but very excited about the opportunity .. my question is: is there a link that I can send people to, those who are interested in purchasing products (but not joining as an affiliate) that takes them to my actual retail store showing all products, or do I have to send them in through one of the gateways provided for one spacific product?

Any information on this would be very helpful, thanks a bunch; Jaye

We no longer have easy access to the Veriuni Store, other than the individual product gateways.

SFI's retail program is in transition, with the promise of being far better than anything we have had so far.

When the new store launches later this year, you will be able to refer prospects to a detailed Webpage for any of the thousands of products in the store.

Additionally, you can send your prospects to specific groups of products based on a multitude of options.

Very Last Minute, But I need HELP!

HI everyone,

My name is Laura and I have been an EA for about three months, recently I purchased the cleaning sample pack and let me tell you WOW, I am impressed!

I am not much of a retail person but I am very motivated in working my own business, trying to get all 25 of my affiliates to upgrade is a slow moving process, But I am not discouraged. I am very motivated to being successful.

Having said this I brainstormed other ways to aid to my success, and I decided to start a cleaning business using the cleaning products.

Heres my emergency, I paid for a both space at a local event "Pet Idol" there will be over 300 hundred ther businesses there, NO CLEANING services, so I am in luck. I just need pointers, sales aides, anyone else done this? The cleaning business that is?

I hope to sell my service as well as the products, I do not have inventory, but I plan to take the cleaning products doing demo's, I also purchased the nutritional drink which I will give samples away also! Tons of flyers on pet care and other products.

I am soooo excited, also any suggestions on a good domain name for redirecting?
I can't wait to hear all the advice:)

Wish Me Luck,
Laura D'Elia

You can get a science fair display unit from Wal*Mart (It's a poster board kind of display) and print off information to attach to it.

Some of that information could be the contents of the pop-up at your cleaner gateway (www.ezinfocenter.com/your ID/vcl) and click on .....Click here to continue overview.

No, it looks like the launch will occur late Fall 2008. Gery Carson has told me there are still TONS of things to get done, and they want to get it right. Get ready! Stay tuned! It's coming! You're going to love it!
